Amsterdam-based Keith Carnal has become widely recognized in recent years as a tastemaker in the modern techno scene, earning the support of many established artists often considered techno mainstays. Raised in a musical household in northern Holland, Carnal discovered techno early on while exploring music on his own, and it quickly became the genre that left the deepest impression on him. As he began composing, that connection only grew stronger, confirming that techno was where he truly belonged. His sound places a strong emphasis on melody and groove, creating music clearly designed for the dancefloor; while his melodies often carry an ominous, melancholic tone, they are balanced by driving percussion that pushes the tracks forward. This blend gives his productions a fresh, immersive energy that resonates with both audiences and fellow DJs. Carnal’s productions closely mirror his DJ approach, where he maintains momentum through energetic grooves and confidently blends classic tracks with newer material, often favoring atmospheric selections with strong melodic elements and powerful bass and percussion. With several new releases and an extensive international touring schedule including headline appearances at major festivals and clubs Keith Carnal continues to stand out as a refreshing force in today’s techno landscape.
